Joining the Associates opens the doors to the Caltech community and a world of new possibilities for travel, learning, and discovery. Your membership gift is tax-deductible and propels research with global impact.

As a Caltech Associate, you and your spouse or partner will be part of an organization whose members share a rich history as patrons of science. You will be invited to exclusive social events to interact with leading researchers and engineers working on the most intriguing challenges of the day. You will also meet and network with a group of dynamic individuals and have the opportunity to travel with faculty to fascinating destinations around the globe.

In addition to unique social and travel occasions, Caltech Associates members are afforded special courtesies, including the option to become a member of organizations typically reserved for Caltech faculty and staff.

These include eligibility to join The Athenaeum, the Institute's storied private club, which confers reciprocal admission to a collection of other premier clubs worldwide. Caltech Associates may also join the Caltech Employees Federal Credit Union for exceptional financial services and the Braun Athletic Center offering over 3,500 square feet of weight and cardiovascular equipment, swimming pools, tennis and racquetball courts, and even a climbing wall—all priced well below typical fitness center fees.

For nearly 100 years, the Caltech Associates have provided financial support through their membership gifts to help make the Institute among the most influential centers of learning and discovery—one that has redefined the outlines of the universe as we know it.

Our faculty and students investigate the biggest ideas today, from environmental solutions to exploring our solar system and beyond, from quantum computing to life-saving medical technologies.
